We were delighted to welcome Councillors Gill and Andy Mercer to Hall Park this week! Gill is the Mayor of Rushden and is passionate about Hall Park and about encouraging pride in the town. She was really interested to hear about the project, and enjoyed seeing the signs and taking a walk around the park with us to see the conservation and maintenance work we have been doing, as well as being introduced to some of our favourite trees.
We were also lucky enough to hear the woodpecker while we were walking all together; a magical moment!
We look forward to Councillors Mercer choosing their own trees and joining us for the exhibition in Rushden Hall next Spring!
